Argentina: Huge Smoke Plumes From Deadly El Bolsón Fires Captured In El Hoyo

The video captured huge plumes of smoke visible from National Route 40 in El Hoyo, Chubut Province, as forest fires have been burning near the tourist town of El Bolsón, Río Negro Province, in central Argentina since January 30. The fires have scorched nearly 3,000 hectares, destroyed more than 100 homes, and caused one fatality, while more than 800 people, including tourists and residents, were evacuated. Three people were arrested on Wednesday, allegedly for starting the fires.
